First Fruit is 1.3% residual sugar and comparable to medium dry aromatic American white or, if sparkling, a Prosecco. It is more fruity and aromatic than their Serious Cider, yet because of the acid (from the crabapples and higher CO2 levels) tastes more “tart” rather than “sweet”. First Fruit is a balanced food-friendly cider that pairs well with many flavor combinations. Thomas Jefferson would have consumed this cider on its own.

Serving Suggestions: Washed rind and aged cheeses. Also, a great counterpart for very spicy dishes and sushi kicked up with wasabi.
