The name Konstantin Frank is law in the Finger Lakes region, and his eponymous winery is still the apotheosis of quality vinifera on the east coast. This is a classic old-world-style dry riesling bursting with bright citrus (and citrus peel) flavors and bouyant blossomy aromas. But it's the squeaky clean finish that is truly the star here, a thread of acidity and minerality that elevates the wine from "refreshing" to "ethereal."
