Doctors for Global Health (DGH) is a private, not-for-profit organization promoting health, education, art and other human rights throughout the world. DGH is comprised of hundreds of health professionals, students, educators, artists, attorneys, engineers, retirees and others. Together we build long-term relationships between people and communities around the world to find effective solutions to social justice issues.
Durham Art Guild's 17th Annual Sweet Arts Art Auction & Fundraiser

A lively, decadently sweet and art-filled evening to raise funds for the programs of the Durham Art Guild. Silent and Live Art Auction representing works of over 50 artists, Sweet Retreat packages and a raffle for a stay and brunch at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Zydeco and New Orleans live jazz and tasty treats from across the Triangle. Ticket price includes 3 drink tickets and is tax-deductible.
Public Interest Law Foundation Auction & Gala
February 20, 2010. The PILF Auction & Gala has typically been the most profitable fundraising activity, and a good opportunity for grant applicants to volunteer their time. In 2009, 564 people attended the auction and over $43,000 was raised to support grants. The auction is held every year in the Spring, normally coincident with Duke Law Parents' Weekend and tends to be one of the most entertaining organized activities of the year. Auction night consists of food, drinks, a silent auction, and a live auction. The items at auction were donations solicted by PILF throughout the year from law firms, local businesses, faculty, students, and alumni.
Ronnie Thomas Invitational Benefiting the Arc of Durham County
The 17th Ronnie Thomas Invitational benefiting The Arc of Durham County is being held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Treyburn Country Club. The Arc of Durham County is a non-profit agency with the mission of improving the quality of life and increasing opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilites and their families. This is the largest fundraiser The Arc holds in Durham each year and helps to provide significant resources and services to the community. Wine Authorities' donation will be included in the live auction and raffle during the tournament to help raise additional funds for The Arc.

At the end of 2007 the Eno River Association purchased 179 beautiful acres of land where the east and west forks of the Eno River join to form its main stem. The purchase permanently protects nearly four miles of stream frontage, with scenic views and outstanding plant and wildlife habitat. This unique property is in a mixture of woodlands and upland agricultural fields, and has been designated a Nationally Significant Natural Heritage Area.
